Position Summary:

In the Business Development Manager - Special Markets position, you'll drive profitable growth by developing new business across emerging healthcare markets, including Homecare, Behavioral Health, Acute, and other targeted care settings. You'll identify and convert new opportunities, build lasting customer relationships, and use data, CRM tools, AI-driven insights, and customer feedback to deliver tailored solutions. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Operations, and National Account teams, you'll expand strategic accounts, grow margin, and help shape scalable go-to-market strategies in high-growth markets.

What You'll Do and Impact:
  • Drive profitable revenue growth across Special Markets, including Acute, Homecare, Behavioral Health, and other targeted healthcare segments.
  • Prospect, develop, and grow underpenetrated accounts by building relationships with key decision-makers through phone, digital channels, CRM activity, and targeted outreach.
  • Use customer data, booking trends, CRM insights, digital engagement, and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and improve sales execution.
  • Partner with National Account Managers, Product, Operations, Account Specialists, and Sales Leadership to support customer needs and execute against market-specific strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer workflows, buying behavior, product needs, and operational pain points across multiple care settings.
  • Sell across both Supply and Capital opportunities, with a focus on profitable growth, margin discipline, and the right product mix for each market.
  • Coordinate internal resources to quickly address customer requests, quote needs, order issues, product questions, and operational challenges.
  • Support targeted campaigns, product launches, and customer growth initiatives by using data-driven sales activity and consistent CRM follow-up.
  • Build and maintain relationships with purchasing leaders, operators, executives, business owners, and other key stakeholders to support long-term customer growth.
  • Help develop repeatable go-to-market approaches for Special Markets by sharing field feedback, customer insights, and execution opportunities with leadership.
  • Maintain accountability for territory performance, margin growth, customer engagement, and reliable execution against team priorities.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of successful sales experience with a demonstrated ability to execute prospecting strategies for establishing and growing underdeveloped accounts.
  • Experience working with AI-powered analytics tools, predictive data models, or digital marketing platforms to drive sales and customer engagement.
