SALES BDC TEAM LEADER APPRENTICE

Nelson Mazda Murfreesboro | Murfreesboro, TN

BUILD YOUR SALES & LEADERSHIP CAREER WITH US

Nelson Mazda is looking for a Sales BDC Team Leader Apprentice who wants to learn how to lead people, drive performance, create an exceptional customer experience, and ultimately complete the entire vehicle sale independently.

This is a unique opportunity designed for a recent college graduate or high-potential individual who wants to build a career in sales and leadership.

No automotive dealership experience is requiredโ€”and we prefer candidates who are new to the dealership business. We will teach you the automotive business from the ground up.

We're looking for someone who is coachable, accountable, competitive, curious, and ready to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

As a Sales BDC Team Leader Apprentice, you will receive hands-on training in BDC leadership, automotive sales, vehicle appraisal, deal structure, finance, and the complete sales process.

You will learn how to:

  • Lead daily BDC operations and team activities.
  • Coach and develop BDC representatives.
  • Monitor calls, texts, emails, leads, appointments, and follow-up activity.
  • Track appointments, show rates, closing ratios, and sales results.
  • Conduct daily team huddles and performance meetings.
  • Train team members on phone, text, email, and appointment-setting skills.
  • Review CRM activity and ensure proper lead follow-up.
  • Work with Sales Management and Client Advisors to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Learn the complete vehicle sales process from initial customer contact through delivery.
  • Conduct needs analysis, vehicle presentations, and test drives.
  • Learn how to structure and present a vehicle deal.
  • Learn how to overcome objections and earn the customer's business.
  • Learn how to properly appraise a customer's trade-in vehicle.
  • Learn how to evaluate vehicle condition, equipment, market data, and trade value.
  • Learn how to quote transportation costs and coordinate vehicle transportation.
  • Learn how to calculate and present payment options.
  • Learn how to submit a complete credit application and deal to the appropriate lender.
  • Learn how to work with lenders and understand the approval process.
  • Learn how to complete and present a finance menu with the customer.
  • Learn the fundamentals of F&I products, finance terms, lender requirements, and compliance.
  • Complete the entire vehicle sale without the assistance of a Sales Team Leader.
  • Manage the customer experience from the initial lead all the way through delivery.
  • Help onboard and train new BDC team members.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and performance feedback.
  • Learn how to establish expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Develop leadership, communication, sales, and problem-solving skills.
