As Sales Manager, you’ll lead a driven team of sales professionals, manage day-to-day sales operations, and play a key role in helping homeowners protect their most valuable asset. This role combines leadership, coaching, and strategy with high earnings potential and opportunities for long-term growth.  Our team has grown and we are looking to expand with an additional Sales Manager on the team. The Sales Manager drives a strong sales culture and ensures the sales team consistently delivers new business through contingencies, retail sales, and contracts—achieving both customer satisfaction and the company’s gross and net profit goals.
Compensation is made of a base salary, individual performance-based commissions, and bonus opportunities for team performance. The combination of those three components results in an expected On Target Earnings of $90,000-$150,000. We also offer training, advancement opportunities, and a supportive, high-performance culture.
REPORTS TO: General Manager / Owner
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a positive, high-energy sales culture built on accountability, motivation, and teamwork. Exit individuals who do not meet minimum sales performance standards or negatively impact the team.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new sales representatives to maintain adequate sales capacity to meet or exceed company goals on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead training for sales reps on an ongoing basis to ensure mastery of BCR’s roofing, siding, and gutter offerings, the BCR 101 sales process, weather damage assessment, retail sales, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare for and conduct weekly sales meetings, including objection handling, role-playing, and reviewing real-world sales situations.
  • Conduct weekly ride-alongs with reps to assess knowledge of sales process, presentation skills, product expertise, customer interaction, and overall effectiveness. Document findings and use them to coach improvement.
  • Assign leads and manage appointment scheduling to maximize sales effectiveness and ensure the right reps are aligned with the right opportunities.
  • Monitor daily sales activity in JobNimbus and sales reporting for accuracy. Investigate discrepancies and hold reps accountable for logging correct data.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and manage the annual sales plan and support reps in building and achieving their individual sales plans.
  • Maintain oversight of staffing needs for sales support
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to ensure accuracy and to track progress toward team and company goals (contingencies, revenue, contracts, installs).
  • Monitor the sales incentive/bonus plan, calculating payouts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate closely with Production and Office Administration teams to ensure smooth handoff of contracts, clean packets, and accurate job information.
  • Resolve sales-related disputes with reps regarding contracts, pricing, lead ownership, and customer issues.
  • Ensure all leads are managed properly, following company lead distribution and tracking policies.
  • Stay informed on competitor offerings and local roofing/siding market conditions to keep BCR STL at the forefront of the industry.
  • Support collections for problem accounts when needed.
  • Represent Best Choice Roofing with professionalism, courtesy, and adherence to company values.
  • Always follow company policies and procedures.
  • Attend company leadership meetings, team meetings, and industry seminars as required.
  • Advise ownership of any opportunities to improve profitability, competitiveness, or safety.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of roofing sales processes, insurance claims, retail sales, and BCR STL operations.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience with proven ability to build and manage teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (JobNimbus preferred), Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and walk roofs when necessary.
  • Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable DMV record.
  • Role may occasionally involve carrying materials up to 50 lbs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
