ABOUT THE COMPANY:

BCR - Buckeye Construction & Restoration is a specialty contractor focused on the repair, restoration, and modification of masonry, concrete, and steel structures.  Combining old world craftsmanship with modern technology, our team specializes in making structures last longer.  Our work supports many industries/structures including historic buildings, schools, universities, stadiums, churches, parking garages, commercial buildings, office buildings, municipal buildings, industrial buildings, water/waste water, infrastructure, and many others.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way


ROUTINE DUTIES:

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  •  Prepare & follow budget based on scope of work, estimate, and resource requirements
  •  Track project costs in order to meet budget
  •  Manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress of each job
  •  Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  •  Manage the relationship with the client and architect group
  •  Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
  •  Provide project updates on a weekly basis to BCR managers about project budgets, strategy, adjustments, and progress
  •  Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas of improvement for adjustments
  •  Weekly job site visits to analyze on site labor, material, and equipment. Analyzing of project to verify project scope is up to BCR’s standards & done properly via the drawings and specs.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  •  Degree in construction technology or related field is desired but not required
  • Commercial or industrial construction required
  • 3-5 years of experience in restoration desired but not required
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skill
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work well in a fast-paced team environment
