What You'll Do

You will join our Public Sector Economic Affairs team with a specific focus on Infrastructure, Transport, and City Development (P-ITC), helping to activate our work in construction and infrastructure project delivery. Key topics include financing, funding & PPPs, cost optimization, capital project excellence, and adaptation & resilience in Public Infrastructure. As a Senior Analyst on the Client Focus path within BCG's Public Sector Practice Area, you will deliver

impact across three core areas:

Client Delivery: Work as part of a global team on active client engagements, applying subject matter expertise and BCG Vantage assets including tools, frameworks, data, and workshops to drive strong outcomes. Occasional on-site travel is expected during staffing assignments.

Business Development: Partner with business leaders to shape and win new work, contributing to proposals and client workshops with differentiated and sector specific perspectives and market insights.

Knowledge & Capability Building: Develop intellectual property and assets for the topic area, and support the onboarding and training of junior colleagues.

We partner with a diverse set of public and private stakeholders including federal, state, and local government agencies, transportation authorities, transit operators, municipalities, and engineering and construction firms to plan, deliver, and optimize large-scale infrastructure systems across the full project lifecycle. Our work spans roads and airports, rail and transit, ports and logistics, and cities and urban development, with the ultimate goal of helping partners build infrastructure that connects communities, drives economic opportunity, and creates a more sustainable future.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches within the infrastructure sector context, including but not limited to:
    • Infrastructure development (incl. Energy Assets, Defense infra & Data Centers)
    • Water / Irrigation
    • Waste management
    • Cost, quality, and time optimization across infra. construction project lifecycle
  • Communicating with case teams and clients team members, in a credible and confident way
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on experience working with or on several large, capital Intensive, Infrastructure construction projects
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant infrastructure project delivery required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred. In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal government security clearance
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with government systems and processes, with comfort navigating public sector environments
  • Confident engaging external stakeholders independently, from procurement teams to client contacts

As a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

  • The base salary range for this role in Los Angeles is 115700-119500 USD.

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 24% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
