What is a BCaBA?

A Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is a professional who assists Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in implementing behavior analysis services. They work with individuals to improve skills and reduce problematic behaviors using evidence-based strategies. Your daily tasks may include collecting and analyzing behavioral data, providing direct client support, training caregivers or staff, and assisting with progress reports. Collaboration with a team—including BCBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and families—is a consistent part of the role. This hands-on, team-oriented environment helps ensure quality care and ongoing professional development.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a BCaBA?
