Job description

We are seeking a Credit Analyst IV to join our Credit Administration team! The Credit Analyst, Credit Administration supports the Bank's credit risk management framework by monitoring asset quality, preparing risk-related reporting, and coordinating follow-up activities with Relationship Managers and Credit Administration. This role focuses on asset oversight, risk identification, and reporting rather than independent credit approval authority. The position is responsible for monitoring criticized and classified loans, preparing problem loan reports, supporting risk rating accuracy, and ensuring documentation and system integrity within nCino and related platforms. This role does not carry independent loan approval authority unless otherwise assigned. The role may include direct or indirect relationship management of higher risk borrowers and possibly a BBC.

Responsibilites, include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Prepare and maintain problem loan reports and asset quality summaries.
  2. Serve as the primary coordinator for asset monitoring activities across business lines.
  3. Track covenant compliance, maturity dates, financial statement receipt, and collateral exceptions.
  4. Follow up with Relationship Managers on property tax payments, insurance coverage, and other risk-related items. Including a monthly summary report to the CCO.
  5. Prepare monthly and quarterly credit risk reports for management and committees.
  6. Support preparation of criticized/classified asset reports and regulatory reporting.
  7. Analyze risk trends within assigned portfolios and escalate concerns appropriately.
  8. Assist in tracking concentrations and emerging portfolio risks.
  9. Review risk rating changes for accuracy and consistency.
  10. Analyze and document rationale for risk rating downgrades or upgrades.
  11. Ensure risk ratings appropriately reflect financial performance, collateral position, and repayment capacity.
  12. Coordinate with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to resolve discrepancies.
  13. Manage as directed high risk borrowers and document status updates.
  14. Track action items associated with special assets and ensure timely follow-through.
  15. Track and findings and/or recommendations from any loan exam to ensure mitigation/implementation.
  16. Complete and review problem borrower write-ups within nCino to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  17. Maintain credit file documentation integrity and required risk documentation.
  18. Ensure policy adherence in credit administration processes.
  19. Assist with internal and external audit requests related to credit files and asset quality.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in credit administration, loan review, risk management, or banking operations.
  • Working knowledge of credit risk principles, loan documentation, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience with nCino or similar loan origination/credit systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data.
  • Ability to conduct extensive research and apply data to improve BSA Program and strong knowledge of BSA compliance, preferred.
  • Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

Target Compensation: $97,054 - 120,000 annually, depending on experience.
