Job description

Overview ABOUT US:

Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the analytical backbone of Silver Hill Capital’s commercial servicing business - a Bayview subsidiary engaged in commercial mortgage origination and servicing - partnering directly with the President & CEO to build the tools, dashboards, and data models that give leadership real-time visibility into portfolio performance, operational capacity, and investor outcomes across every servicing segment.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for a self-directed problem-solver who can translate complex servicing, lending, and credit data into clear, decision-ready insight for senior leaders - and who will help transform how the business measures and manages itself. The position is initially an individual contributor with a defined path to build and lead an analytics team as the function scales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain dashboards, data visualizations, and self-service analytics that give leadership real-time visibility into performance across each servicing segment (small-balance commercial, DSCR, large-balance commercial, and CPACE).
  • Develop portfolio-performance analytics and early-warning tools that help leadership get ahead of delinquency, default, and credit-risk trends rather than react to them.
  • Design capacity and organizational-effectiveness models - “right people in the right seats” - assessing workload, staffing, and productivity across servicing teams to inform resource allocation.
  • Build analytics that support investor reporting and oversight, confirming the business is meeting its obligations to investors and surfacing exceptions early.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and process-improvement efforts end to end - working independently across Credit Risk, Loan Administration, Special Servicing/REO, Legal & Compliance, Sales, and Strategy & Analytics to gather requirements, design solutions, and drive adoption.
  • Source, model, and validate data from systems of record (Strategy, Servicing Director) and translate it into accurate, governed, decision-ready reporting.
  • Prepare and present complex financial and operational analyses - including business cases - to senior leaders in clear, executive-ready formats.
  • Apply modern, AI-forward analytical tools (Alteryx, Power BI) to automate manual reporting and accelerate insight.
  • Identify, document, and re-engineer servicing processes to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality.
  • Partner with leadership to define KPIs and benchmarks for servicing, credit performance, and profitability.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, finance, analytics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in analytics or business intelligence within mortgage servicing, consumer or commercial lending, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge across mortgage servicing, consumer lending, commercial lending, investor reporting, portfolio analytics, and credit risk.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects from ambiguity to solution.
SKILLS:
  • Advanced proficiency with modern analytical and data-visualization tools - Power BI and Alteryx required; SQL and other data-preparation/automation tools a strong plus.
  • AI-forward mindset - actively applies AI and automation to accelerate analysis, reporting, and decision support.
  • Deep, hands‑on command of data: sourcing, modeling, validating, and translating it into insight.
  • Executive-level communication - able to present complex financial and operational information, and business cases, clearly and persuasively to senior leaders.
  • Strong business acumen in loan servicing, credit, and portfolio performance.
  • Disciplined approach to process improvement (Lean / Six Sigma thinking a plus).
  • Self-directed and solutions-oriented, comfortable operating across the business with minimal direction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Leadership potential - ability to grow into building and managing an analytics team.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATION:
  • None required. Relevant certifications a plus - e.g., Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Alteryx Designer Core, or Lean Six Sigma.

LOCATION:

  • This role will be based in Silver Hill Capital’s Coral Gables, FL office and may be a hybrid role.
EEOC:

Silver Hill Capital / Bayview is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All aspects of consideration for employment and employment with the Company are governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law.
