Overview
ABOUT US:

Founded in 1993, Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit-related assets.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CRE CPACE Analyst will be responsible for assisting the initial review, origination, and underwriting/due diligence of commercial real estate loans throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well organized, works effectively in teams, is detail oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and screen PACE financing opportunities. 
  • For each prospective transaction, review and research property, market, Sponsor, and property financials including evaluation of property cash flow analyses using Excel. 
  • Determine PACE loan sizing using local PACE program guidelines.
  • Support team to prepare and present quotes, green light memos, term sheets and credit memoranda to senior staff and management detailing transaction rationale, loan risks and mitigating factors, and lender return on investment. 
  • Provide originations support by researching direct to owner opportunities and tracking process for lender referrals.
  • Maintain CRM systems and deal folders.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for capital markets, Investor relations securitization team and others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and strong interest in commercial real estate, capital markets, and debt financing. 
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a collaborate team environment 
  • Proficiency using Excel  

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate, economics, engineering or math field, with a demonstrated interest in real estate finance. 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, financial services, or related field.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION:

  • This is an onsite position based in Bayview’s New York, NY office.
  • Base compensation is expected to be $80,000 - $100,000, with opportunity for incentive compensation including a performance-based bonus.
