Databricks is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Sales Finance team. You will report to the Sr. Finance Manager. The team's primary goal is to improve forecast accuracy, increase visibility into business performance, and provide actionable insights that help Databricks optimize investment decisions and long-term growth.
You will be a trusted advisor to Finance and GTM leadership, delivering insights and recommendations that improve forecast reliability, enhance executive reporting, and drive operational excellence. You will own key forecasting processes, analyze usage and invoicing trends, partner cross-functionally across Finance, and Sales Strategy, and build scalable models and processes to support a rapidly growing business.
The impact you will have:
  • Own and improve forecasts for bookings, invoicing, collections, and cash while identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Databricks' business model to drive forecast and business insights
  • Analyze company performance against core financial and operational KPIs and communicate insights to Finance leadership.
  • Develop scalable driver-based forecasting models and improve forecast methodologies through historical analysis and business insights.
  • Build executive-level reporting and presentations that clearly communicate financial performance, and strategic recommendations.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements to support a fast-growing, data-driven organization.

What we look for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a comparable field
  • 4+ years of corporate finance, management consulting, or investment banking experience; familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS) a plus
  • Experience in building financial models independently and preparing recommendations
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Experience simplifying and scaling while supporting a fast-moving, high-growth business
  • Curiosity to learn and solve problems independently
  • Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Expert in Excel/Google Sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets); comfortable managing large datasets and driver-based models
  • Prior experience using SQL or willingness to lear
