YOUR IMPACT...

As the Senior Marketing Manager, Global Basketball you will play a key role in furthering the strategic global development of the basketball category at New Balance. This critical role will continue to drive the momentum created by the brand's entrance into the category and will work tirelessly to evolve NB's positioning and differentiation within the basketball culture and landscape.

The Senior Manager will be part of the Global Basketball marketing team that is devoted to calculated risk-taking in marketing communications, ensuring break-through, challenger-brand messaging; driving best-in-class go-to-market strategy and execution; leading delivery of new asset strategy and activation; and establishing optimal asset utilization. The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for executing strategy, delivering results, cross-business influence and coordination that ultimately drive commercial business success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO...

  • Develop and lead long-term, commercial marketing strategy for basketball that filters down into regional execution.

  • Lead the key global and regional account activity for the category inclusive of managing seasonal activation in support of those accounts with regional commercial teams.

  • Lead long-term, over-arching global community strategy for Basketball

  • Create and execute multi-year activation plans for key strategic basketball partnerships inclusive of our partnership with Aime Leon Dore at Masaryk Gym.

  • Together with the larger team, ensure that all category activity is aligned to key GTM Milestones.

  • Partner closely with cross-functional departments, including but not limited to, sports marketing, product development, merchandising, and PR.

  • Accountable for annual basketball calendar inclusive of where brand and channel campaigns intersect.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to bring the vision for New Balance Basketball and its athletes to life in key sporting moments.

  • Effectively plans workload & delegation across our growing basketball marketing department

WHAT YOU BRING...

  • 8+ years relevant marketing experience

  • Extensive marketing experience including brand strategy & positioning, product launch & marketing plan execution, post campaign analysis, use of innovative marketing techniques & tools

  • Significant knowledge of the Basketball landscape and culture greatly preferred

  • Knowledge and interest in sneakers, fashion, and music

  • Experience developing commercial marketing strategy Globally greatly preferred

  • Ability to navigate a global organization across many functions

  • Strong relationship and influencing skills

  • Able to balance multi-year planning with execution

  • Experience leading and developing a sizeable team preferred

Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $141,200.00 - $182,200.00 - $223,200.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
