Job description

Major League Baseball is looking for a Clubhouse Manager in the Arizona Fall League to direct daily security and emergency planning, credential enforcement, uniform inventory, and overall clubhouse logistics for home and visiting teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a daily security and emergency clubhouse and field plan with contracted private security detail and emergency medical team
  • Direct and supervise Assistant Clubhouse Supervisors daily clubhouse/game day responsibilities
  • Check all daily credentials to ensure only MLB credentialed personnel gain admittance to clubhouses and team transportation
  • Monitor all player bat deliveries to the clubhouse are from MLB approved bat suppliers
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of official game uniforms and player caps to meet daily team needs, plus ensure all security measures are in place to prevent potential theft from clubhouses
  • Supervise MLB Authentication personnel and authenticated goods chain-of-command handling
  • Monitor and secure the weekly supply of baseballs during practices and game days
  • Assist with any additional clubhouse requests as directed by Baseball Operations Supervisors
  • Supervise day of game batboys in each dugout and ballboys/ballgirls pregame and in-game responsibilities, plus general cleaning of visitor's clubhouse by batboys after each home game
  • Supervise and direct contracted private security detail within home and visitors clubhouse areas per plans developed by Head Clubhouse Manager
  • Supervise secure handling and transport by Team Operations Supervisors of home and visitors equipment
  • Wash all team uniforms and workout apparel on a daily basis for all team members, plus hang all uniforms in lockers
  • Clean home clubhouse daily to maintain a professional appearance for all coaches and players
  • Provide isotonic drinks and water for both clubhouses and dugouts on home games, plus normal dugout bench supplies
