ABOUT EL1 SPORTS
EL1 Sports is a national sports training company created by athletes, coaches, and educators who believe in the transformative power of sport to make a difference in people's lives both on and off the field. We provide expert instruction and a full suite of administrative solutions in the service of athletes, teams, organizations, tournaments, and events. EL1 is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball.
SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation (and to a lesser extent, capture) of content to be published on multiple platforms, designing graphics/flyers, providing design support to accomplish the needs of the EL1 editorial calendar, offering insights and recommendations, and participating in conversations/meetings on marketing design issues as appropriate with the marketing team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deliver compelling, creative content designs for channels that include social media, email, newsletters, print, websites, and apps
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and Program Managers on the concept development and production of creative assets
  • Optimize and/or retool design for top-performing content
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies through great design work
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design content, track content performance, and optimize content for SEO, specific channels, and target audiences
  • Capture and edit photos/videos in engaging formats that fit the youth sports industry
  • Help keep complex project timelines on track
  • Support, enhance and meet organizational goals, values, and mission in all assigned activities
  • Identify and assess the latest marketing design trends
  • Operate all equipment and software at an expert level
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements
  • High level of familiarity with both digital and print design principles and techniques
  • Expert level use of photo, graphic, and video applications within the Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience working in complex situations, collaborating across organizations/teams, dealing with tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and self-management skills
  • Superb attention to detail, including a sharp editing eye and ability to effectively apply analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Proficiency with DSLR camera operation for photo and video a plus
  • College degree, plus 4 years of related experience, or a portfolio showing at least two years of relevant work
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and passion for baseball, football, softball preferred
  • Positive mindset and attitude
  • Comfort with working in a purely remote environment (although candidates based in CA or WA may be able to work on-site)

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & TRAVEL
  • Environments include but are not limited to office space, sports facilities, and recreation fields/parks.
  • Mobility sufficient to attend meetings in alternate locations is required. Frequent local travel may be required as needed per the programming schedule.
  • Occasional non-local travel to other EL1 locations and work sites. Overnight travel may be required on an infrequent basis.
  • The position is hourly and will pay overtime when circumstances necessitate work at night or on weekends
