What We're Looking For

The Base Technician II is responsible for producing pharmaceutical bases like creams, lotions, and suspensions by following Batch Records. This includes weighing and mixing ingredients, operating blending equipment, and cleaning equipment between batches. The technician must ensure accurate documentation and comply with safety and regulatory standards. 

What You Will Do

• Follow Batch Records to prepare pharmaceutical bases (creams, lotions, suspensions).

• Weigh and measure raw components with precision.

• Manually add ingredients to blending equipment and monitor the blending process.

• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment when issues arise.

• Clean and maintain production equipment to meet sanitation standards.

• Meet production efficiency standards and contribute to maintaining a smooth workflow.

• Complete accurate documentation in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Assist with special projects related to production and operations, as needed.

Who You Are

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

• Experience in pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or cosmetic production or manufacturing preferred.

• Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is a strong advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of regular duties.

• Ability to wear both half-face and full-face respirators as required.

• Familiarity with GMP and regulatory standards in pharmaceutical or related industries.

• Ability to operate and clean blending equipment.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Ability to perform basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime or additional days as needed.
