Job Description
San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Student Worker, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and/or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year.
The University Transfer & Career Center (UTCC) is looking for motivated students that have an interest in helping students make the transition to university and/or Career.
Summary Description:
  • Greet students at the front desk of UTCC and making student appointments
  • Redirecting phone calls
  • Calling and/or emailing students regarding appointments
  • Assist with the creation and posting of flyers for events and workshops
  • Help the office with filing
  • Inform students of UTCC events and activities (through multiple mediums i.e. Flyers, Posters, Video, and social media, classroom announcements)
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up of all UTCC events
  • Other job duties as needed

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
  • Must have completed at least 12 units at CHC, have a major declared, and a minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Must complete a tb test at time of employment
  • Participate in UTCC training (dates and times TBA)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Participation in one past UTCC, workshop, event and/or activity or COUN 110 or COUN 130 course
  • Participate in UTCC training
  • Attend scheduled Staff meetings as necessary
  • When requested wear a UTCC uniform
  • Have an interest in helping other students to learn more about transfer and career services
