Job Summary

As the Barricade Driver/Traffic Control Maintainer, you will ultimately be responsible for safely transporting, installing, and maintaining traffic control devices that support construction operations. You will coordinate traffic control setup, equipment maintenance, and inspections while ensuring compliance with approved Traffic Control Plans and safety standards. Your customers are Congruex field crews, project teams, and the traveling public, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Deliver, load, unload, and install traffic control devices according to approved Traffic Control Plans
  • Prepare rough sketches of work areas and perform traffic control setup and inspections
  • Operate hand and power tools safely to complete traffic control and barricade installations
  • Maintain traffic control devices, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition
  • Conduct routine job site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements
  • Work collaboratively with field crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • DOT Medical Card required prior to operating a company vehicle

Experience

  • Experience performing traffic control, barricade installation, or construction support preferred
  • Experience operating hand and power tools in construction environments preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to follow Traffic Control Plans and established safety procedures
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support field operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous barricade or traffic control experience
  • Construction or underground utility experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely work around active traffic, construction equipment, and job sites
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and other applicable safety equipment
  • Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment screenings
