Job Summary
Barn Attendants are passionate team members who will provide excellent care for our animals as well as deliver educational presentations to our guests.
Essential Functions
To succeed in this role, individuals must perform all essential functions effectively, with reasonable accommodation provided as needed. Provide animal care, including but not limited to feeding, bathing, grooming.
  • Treat all animals (big and small) with respect and care.
  • Observe and report on the behavior and condition of animals.
  • Collect and record animal history.
  • General facility cleaning and maintenance.
  • Safely operate assigned Gator Bayou activities, following and enforcing all rules and regulations.
  • Recognize and prevent safety hazards to ensure the safety of all guests and team members.
  • Organize, maintain, and disinfect animal environments.
  • Assist in the delivery of educational programs.
  • Work effectively individually and as a team to follow the facility emergency action plan.
  • Assist in keeping the park clean and well maintained.
  • Assist with special events, including field trips and birthday parties. Keep break room area clean.
  • Perform pre-use inspections and assist with periodic internal inspections on barn operation areas.
  • Multi-task while being attentive to guests and remain flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Make certain all company policies and procedures are adhered to by guests.
  • Always ensure a safe working environment for all guests and employees.
  • Work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures while protecting company assets.
  • Report any theft or suspicious activity to management ASAP.
  • Take pride in wardrobe & appearance.
  • Assist other departments as staffing needs require.
