Job description

Barback — Braxton Brewing Co., Union Taproom

Braxton Brewing is looking for a Barback to join the crew at our Union taproom. If you like moving fast, staying a step ahead of the rush, and being the reason a busy Friday night doesn't fall apart, this is your spot. Barbacks are the backbone of the bar - you'll keep beer flowing, glassware stocked, and the team set up to take great care of every guest who walks in.

Pay: $10/hour + tips
What you'll do
  • Change kegs, stock coolers, and keep draft lines, glassware, and bar supplies fully replenished throughout the shift
  • Support bartenders during rushes — restocking, running ice, clearing glassware, and anticipating what they need before they ask
  • Bus and reset tables, clear the bar top, and keep the taproom looking sharp
  • Handle trash, recycling, and empty keg returns
  • Help with opening and closing duties, including stocking, deep cleaning bar mats and drains, and
  • prepping for the next shift
  • Pitch in on events, releases, and private parties held at the taproom
  • Follow all state and local alcohol service laws, plus Braxton's safety and sanitation standards

What we're looking for

  • 18 or older (required to work in a licensed establishment in Kentucky)
  • Able to lift and move up to 165 lbs (a full half-barrel keg) repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and moving quickly for 6–8+ hours
  • Available nights, weekends, and holidays — this is when we're busiest
  • Previous bar, restaurant, or brewery experience is a plus but not required — we'll train the right person
  • A genuine interest in craft beer and Braxton's story
