The Bar Manager will oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring that every guest enjoys a outstanding experience. The Bar Manager will be responsible for managing the bar team, maintaining high standards of beverage quality and service, driving profitability, and fostering a strong team culture. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Operational Management: 

  • Oversee daily bar operations, including all front-of-house activities and overall guest experience. 

  • Ensure the bar meets and exceeds quality, service, beverage, and cleanliness standards. 

  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budgetary goals. 

  • Responsible for payroll, including accurate timekeeping review, labor management, and scheduling based on business needs. 

  • Create, maintain, and manage team schedules to ensure proper staffing levels, operational coverage, and alignment with business demands. 

  • Partner with leadership to identify operational opportunities and implement processes that improve efficiency and service. 

Staff Leadership: 

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, including bartenders, servers, runners, hosts, and all FOH positions. 

  • Coordinate onboarding plans for new hires, ensuring team members complete all required onboarding steps prior to starting in their role. 

  • Own the new hire training experience,  by ensuring team members receive proper department training, resources, and ongoing support needed to be successful. 

  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to build a knowledgeable and engaged team. 

  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that encourages team cohesion, accountability, and professional growth. 

  • Implement performance evaluations and address any staff concerns promptly and effectively. 

  • Monitor adherence to SOPs, service standards, and training guidelines. 

Customer Service: 

  • Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing guest concerns and feedback with professionalism. 

  • Lead by example by creating memorable guest experiences and fostering a culture of hospitality within the team. 

  • Implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business. 

Financial Management: 

  • Work with the Director of F&B to manage the bar’s budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses. 

  • Work with the Director of F&B to monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, beverage costs, and profitability. 

  • Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to drive revenue growth. 

Marketing and Promotion: 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, programming, and events. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to promote the bar and restaurant. 

• Compliance and Safety: 

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, beverage service requirements, and company policies. 

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the bar operates within legal and company guidelines. 

  • Ensure team members are properly trained and consistently following all company policies, procedures, and service expectations.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000/ Annually
