Job description

We’re looking for a Banquet Sous Chef at Riverfront Events who brings precision, consistency, and a strong sense of ownership to every plate. This role is instrumental in executing high-level banquet and event culinary operations, ensuring that every dish reflects the standards, creativity, and excellence that define Atlas.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences at scale.


What You’ll Do

  • Support the execution of all banquet and event culinary operations with consistency and efficiency
  • Lead and oversee food preparation, production, and plating during banquet service
  • Partner with the Regional Chef and Banquet Executive Sous Chef to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and timing across all events
  • Train, coach, and support kitchen team members—reinforcing accountability and development
  • Step into a leadership role on the line, driving pace and performance during service
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining appropriate food levels for events
  • Support food cost control efforts, minimizing waste while maintaining quality
  • Uphold all sanitation, safety, and organizational standards within the kitchen
