Job description

RiskOne HR Consulting is seeking a Banquet Manager for one of our clients responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all banquet and event operations within the hotel. This role ensures exceptional guest service, efficient event execution, and adherence to hotel standards while maximizing revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and ensure all event requirements are communicated effectively to relevant departments.
  • Coordinate setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions according to client specifications.
  • Supervises the set-up of function rooms to include placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware according to event order specifications. Visually inspects function rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review event details and service expectations.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients during events
  • Post Banquet Checks, Tip Reports, covers and Recaps for the day
  • Supervise banquet staff to ensure efficient and professional service delivery
  • Supervises set up, clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipment including linens, tables, props and other equipment.
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure all functions start and end on schedule.
  • Ensure banquet rooms are properly set up and maintained according to hotel standards.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of banquet facilities.
  • Recruit, train, coach and schedule banquet employees.
  • Coach team members on service standards, guest relations, and operational procedures.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage labor costs through effective scheduling and staffing practices.
  • Monitor banquet expenses and assist in developing department budgets.
  • Verifies appropriate Linens and supplies stocks are available.
  • Conduct Inventories.
  • Identify opportunities to increase banquet revenue and profitability. Ensure accurate billing and event-related charges.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to hotel policies, brand standards, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure service quality and operational excellence.
  • Implement corrective actions when standards are not met.
  • Work closely with Sales, Catering, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in operational and management meetings as required.
  • Provide support to the Food & Beverage Operation of the Hotel.
