Job Description

At Telemundo 60 San Antonio, we inform, empower, and connect our community through impactful storytelling, trusted local journalism, and meaningful brand experiences. The Marketing Intern will support the station's marketing, promotions, creative, community engagement, and brand initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced broadcast media environment. This role reports to the Marketing Director and works closely with station teams, talent, partners, and vendors. 
Responsibilities 

Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, station promotions, community events, local activations, and brand initiatives. 

Assist with day-to-day marketing operations, including campaign tracking, promotional planning, asset coordination, and internal communication. 

Help identify local opportunities that strengthen the Telemundo 60 brand and deepen engagement with the San Antonio community. 

Assist with non-traditional, out-of-home, and grassroots marketing efforts, including sweeps campaigns, festivals, community partnerships, press opportunities, and station appearances. 

Provide support for community affairs initiatives, including partner communication, event preparation, and follow-up needs. 

Creative Support 

Contribute to brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns, promotional concepts, social media content, event materials, and station initiatives. 

Assist with copywriting, presentations, flyers, promotional materials, outdoor advertising concepts, digital assets, and e-marketing materials. 

Support creative development and execution for special network, local programming, sales, and station initiatives. 

Reporting and Research 

Help prepare post-campaign recaps and reports for social media, marketing, talent, press, community, and sales initiatives. 

Track local and national campaign performance and assist in developing highlights for internal presentations and sales support. 

Assist with competitive monitoring, event recaps, and research that helps evaluate station visibility, audience engagement, and promotional impact. 

Operations and Administrative Support 

Assist with updating promotional inventory, campaign trackers, ROI summaries, vendor documents, and basic budget-related materials. 

Event and Team Support 

Support the coordination and execution of station events, activations, presentations, community appearances, and promotional opportunities. 

Coordinate marketing materials, promotional items, signage, and campaign assets to help ensure timely delivery and brand consistency. 

Participate in team meetings and assist with planning updates related to upcoming promotions, events, and station activations. 

Support the Telemundo 60 San Antonio Brand Ambassador Team during events and activations. 

Assist with promotional media traffic entry and other marketing operations as assigned. 

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, or a related field. 

Strong interest in marketing, media, television, community engagement, and the Hispanic audience. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. 

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 

Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content, and basic content creation preferred.
