Job description

Join our Consumer Banking public relations team to lead strategic communications supporting Chase’s expansion across key regions of the U.S.

As a Vice President in our Consumer Banking public relations team, you will lead strategic communications supporting Chase’s expansion across key regions in the U.S. In this role, you will advance initiatives by building strong relationships on the ground in priority markets and elevating the firm’s presence in local communities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead communications for regional expansion, developing and executing localized media strategies aligned to business priorities and community engagement efforts.
  • Drive proactive story development and spokesperson narratives, identifying market-specific opportunities and coordinating press moments, announcements, and community engagement that support expansion objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional media, influencers, and community stakeholders to strengthen visibility and credibility in local markets
  • Provide rapid-response and issues management counsel in partnership with corporate communications and risk teams, anticipating local sensitivities and maintaining message discipline.
  • Quarterback internal stakeholders (including marketing and business leaders) and external agencies across earned and paid media—setting direction, prioritizing work, and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Develop press materials, executive communications, and thought leadership that position the firm effectively in new and growing markets.
  • Establish measurement expectations and evaluate PR performance against strategic objectives, using insights to refine approach, resource allocation, and market focus.
  • Stay informed of industry and regulatory developments to anticipate potential issues and incorporate them into market-level communications planning.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or journalism, with experience in corporate and/or agency environments.
  • Strong experience operating in regional or market-based communications roles.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with media and community stakeholders in diverse markets.
  • Experience supporting growth or expansion initiatives.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, writing, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to influence across a matrixed organization and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
