Position Summary:

The Private Banker is responsible for managing a portfolio of Private and Commercial Banking clients who require financial services and products to meet their needs.ย  This position is accountable for prospecting new business and retaining and deepening existing relationships.ย

Essential Position Responsibilities:*

  • Responsible for the generation of profitable portfolio earning assets (loans), liabilities (deposits), and other banking services or line of business referrals at levels that meet the overall objectives of the bank.
  • Involved in any training, professional development and performance at all levels within the Bank as
    seen by management to enhance the individualโ€™s overall performance.
  • Provides leadership in establishing overall personal goals that consistent with the stated mission of the bank.
  • Works closely with the Bankโ€™s Credit Officers to monitor quality of loan portfolio and to ensure all loans comply with the Bankโ€™s lending policy.
  • Participates actively in community and civic duties to create a positive public perception of the Bank and to effectively determine the credit needs of the community.ย 
  • Contributes to the bank team effort by performing other job-related duties, at the discretion of the Regional President.

Preferred Education/Experience/Software:

Bachelorโ€™s Degree in business, finance, or accounting or 8-10 years of experience of relationship management experience selling banking products. ย Experience in the metro Atlanta market required for better understanding of the banking environment and potential customer base is preferred. ย Highly developed accounting, finance, credit, and sales skills.ย  Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships. ย Proven sales skills and experience.ย  The ability to cross sell bank products with an emphasis on relationship banking is required.ย  Knowledgeable in a wide range of Microsoft Office software applications.ย  Proficient with Fiserv, nCino and other bank programs.ย ย 

Training:

Responsible for the timely completion of all required compliance training such has BSA, Information Security, and other job specific training as assigned.

BSA Compliance:

Complies as required with relevant Bank policies and procedures related to BSA, including capture of required CIP, Customer Due Diligence, and Beneficial Ownership data as well as informing management and compliance staff of potential suspicious activities or elevated risk related to specific clients.

Additional Requirements:ย 

The responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies.ย 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to operate standard office equipment.ย  The team member is frequently required to communicate and perceive.ย ย  The position is primarily stationary and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and requires sedentary work such as exerting up to 10 pounds of force 5% of the time and a negligible amount of force approximately 95% of the time.ย
