Job description

As the Bank Operations Onboarding Specialist, you will partner with business unit stakeholders and Bank Operations business systems analyst teams to successfully onboard new and existing client treasury services. You will also work with partners to find solutions for client set-ups based on their unique needs. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by Bank Operations leadership.

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.

How you will spend your time:

  • Proactively develop a relationship with the relationship and treasury service teams, as well as other operational teams, to identify solutions to problems and improve client experience.
  • Understand the client's expectations and execute onboarding treasury needs.
  • Respond with a sense of urgency to all internal and external client calls, questions and/or concerns.
  • Work in collaboration with the Relationship Team while setting clear expectations regarding deliverables and due dates.
  • Responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through quality service and coordinating client needs with other functions as needed.
  • Complete, track and QC customer changes including but not limited to adding/deleting accounts, addition of new users, update of user profiles, and maintenance of existing users.
  • Configure application-enabled business systems.
  • Construct test cases, develop test scripts and facilitate appropriate testing of new services.
  • Provide leadership, management, and guidance for all aspects of the assigned request.
  • Validate production implementation.
  • Act as system liaison between UMB operations business units, treasury implementations teams, and clients.

We are excited to talk if you have:

  • At least 3 years of proven customer service experience OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • At least 3 years of Operations support or business systems analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround requests.
  • Solid time management skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills to work with other internal areas to help resolve issues.
  • Solid decision-making or problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cash Management products and services, including but not limited to, Online Banking platforms, ACH, Wire and Bank Operations.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Web-based Treasury applications, including but not limited to Pep+, mainframe, UMB Direct, UMB Online Banking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BAW, Hogan, FileNet, Lockbox, Positive Pay, ImageCentre, and UMB Wire applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory issues such as the Bank Secrecy Act, FACTA, and NACHA Rules.

Compensation Ranges:

US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York:

$54,220 - $79,020

US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin:

$49,510 - $72,340

US Employees in all other states not listed above:

$44,790 - $65,650
