Job Description

The Supervisor, Bank Operations provides leadership and oversight for operational teams responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant banking services. This role combines people leadership, operational execution, and process improvement, requiring someone who can motivate employees, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a deadline-driven environment. Working closely with business partners across the bank, the supervisor ensures service level commitments are achieved, operational risks are managed, and opportunities for greater efficiency and automation are identified. How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Monitor operational workflows, productivity, staffing levels, and performance metrics to identify challenges, resolve issues, and ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Partner with internal business partners, support teams, and external contacts to resolve operational issues, strengthen relationships, and support business objectives.
  • Develop employees through ongoing coaching, one-on-one discussions, training, and performance management while building team engagement and bench strength.
  • Improve processes, reporting, and workflows by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and support operational excellence.
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and departmental procedures while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and quality.
  • Drive change initiatives, process enhancements, and technology adoption that improve the effectiveness and scalability of the operation.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Banking, Accounting, or a related field of study and 3-4 years in operations with 1 year or more in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge of applicable Federal and State banking regulations, including AML, OFAC, BSA, Patriot Act, SOX, Reg E, Reg CC, and UCC4A.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
Knowledge of banking operations or a comparable high-volume operational environment.
Experience with transaction processing, workflow management, or operational support processes.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
Customer-focused with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing business needs.
Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to identify process improvements and support operational change initiatives.
