Job description

The Sr. Operations Associate within the Mail and Print Operations team supports the daily operation of centralized mail and print services enterprise wid. The role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and secure handling of incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and assist with print production tasks. The position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, confidentiality, and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by Bank Operations leadership.
This role is on-site (Mon through Fri, 8:30 - 5:00 PM) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.
How you will spend your time:
  • Receive, sort, distribute, and dispatch incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with established SLAs.
  • Process all mail including interoffice, packages, overnight deliveries, and certified mail.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, including metering, labeling, tracking, and logging as required.
  • Coordinate with external courier and delivery vendors to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Assist with print production tasks including copying, scanning, collating, and finishing documents.
  • Operate and maintain print and mail equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of print and mail equipment and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support high-volume print jobs and deadline driven projects.
  • Ensure print requests are completed accurately and withing established turnaround times.
  • Handle and pay invoices for mail and print services.
  • Assist with associate training as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance testing, disaster recovery testing, or other projects as assigned by manager.
  • Understand and remain current on related industry activity, changes, regulations, etc.

  • At least 4 years of banking or financial administrative experience.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, business partners, and clients.
  • Utilized technical aptitude allowing for quick learning of company systems, platforms, and products.
  • Worked autonomously, escalating issues, problems etc. as appropriate.
  • Ability to recognize errors, issues, special requests, or inconsistencies in daily operations to solve or escalate to appropriate associate or manager.

Bonus Points if you have:
  • Bank operations experience specifically to ACH, ATM, Lockbox, Wires, or Deposit Operations.
  • Ability to understand processes end to end and cross-functional work with other operational units.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Compensation Range:
