Responsibilities

  • Manage client portfolios, primarily municipal bonds
  • Lead portfolio research and scenario testing efforts for the team.
  • Create and distribute expected returns, performance and scenario results to the Investment Team and when requested, clients.
  • Contribute to portfolio and capital markets research.
  • Develop materials for and lead Investment Strategy meetings when necessary.
  • Develop customized investment strategies and portfolios to meet client objectives consistent with the firm's investment process.
  • Manage one or more discretionary strategies for clients.
  • Monitor market conditions and make portfolio recommendations following PB's 4Rs process.
  • Direct and monitor projects and activities of Associates and Analysts assigned the investment team.
  • Work with outside managers, vendors and custodians to ensure a seamless investing experience for clients.
  • Monitor economic and market indicators to build and update scenarios for our expected returns process.
  • Contribute to portfolio performance by performing research and creating recommendations for position and/or allocation changes.


Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field
  • Preferred: Certification such as CFA, CAIA or substantial progress toward certification
  • 5+ years direct experience in municipal bond management and credits
  • Experience through one or more investment cycles
  • Understanding of regulatory, legal, and operational requirements for discretionary investment portfolios and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Understanding of capital markets, strategy, portfolio and asset allocation
  • Ability to collaborate with and positively influence team members
  • Strong communications skills and experience creating and delivering presentations and written materials
