Job Description:

At Regions, the Bank Operations Reconcilement Specialist is responsible for the daily and weekly reconciliation of payments and transfers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepares daily and weekly reports to review all incoming transfers

  • Ensures all open items are prioritized and reviewed

  • Ensures all queries are logged and up to date in the appropriate systems

  • Clarifies payment details to ensure appropriate funds allocation

  • Notifies appropriate parties of non-receipts/rejections

  • Takes corrective action on incorrect payments to reduce potential risk

  • Assists in handling escalated issues/problems when necessary

  • Provides advice and guidance to less experienced associates as needed

  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Two (2) years of related banking or operations experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • General knowledge of banking procedures

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Work Schedule

Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office, three or more days a week. Schedule as follows:

Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

  • On-site: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

  • Remote: Monday and Friday

Training & On-Site Requirements

  • Required on-site training for the first 90 days (Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

  • Mandatory on-site presence during the first five (5) business days of each month

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. The location available for this role Hoover, AL.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
