Job description

Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive operational excellence, financial performance, and organizational growth. This role oversees day-to-day business operations, including finance, accounting, supply chain, warehouse operations, human resources, and cross-functional leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute business strategy and operational objectives
  • Lead strategic planning, goal setting, and performance management initiatives
  • Drive organizational alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations to support growth, efficiency, and profitability
  • Lead and develop senior leadership across multiple functions
  • Implement process improvements, systems, and scalable operational practices

Financial Oversight

  • Manage P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
  • Monitor financial results and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Oversee banking relationships, reporting, and compliance requirements

Talent & Growth

  • Support leadership development, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Partner with HR on talent acquisition, retention, and organizational development
  • Evaluate business growth opportunities and strategic partnerships

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Oversee risk management, insurance programs, and operational controls


Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience as a COO, VP of Operations, or senior operations leader
  • Strong financial management experience, including P&L ownership, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and scaling operations
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong strategic and execution capabilities
  • ERP system experience

Preferred

  • Experience in high-growth, founder-led, or transformation environments
  • Background in supply chain, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations
  • Track record of driving operational improvements and business growth


Compensation and Benefits:

  • $100,000 - $180,000 (based on experience)
