Purpose: 

In this role you will utilize your industry & transaction experience to conduct financial reviews of companies and present findings in a concise and professional manner internally to the Quebec Industry Group ("Quebec Group") and externally to our clients. Emphasis will also be placed on the ability to source new quality revenue opportunities for the Quebec Group from existing & new Bank relationships, and the potential need for investment banking services. You will also be responsible for generating and executing capital markets (equity and debt) opportunities for industry specific companies.


What You'll Do 

  • Lead the Investment Banking business line for various client matters by conceptualizing, developing and implementing initiatives to address the strategic challenges of aligning industry and Bank needs
  • You will ideally have had exposure to a broad range of industry exposure, with particular emphasis on any experience in the Consumer, Industrial & Retail sectors, Power & Utilities sectors, among others
  • Optimizing business opportunities, managing risk and maximizing shareholder value in Global Banking & Markets' wholesale financial services globally and achieve sustainable revenue growth
  • Enhancing product capabilities; building global industry specialization in key sectors; and driving growth in new international markets
  • Assist the Quebec Group with the generation and evaluation of investment banking opportunities (including M&A, ECM and DCM) and related GBM products
  • Assist clients in evaluation of potential acquisitions
  • Advise clients in preparing data and presentations for sell side processes
  • Provide key inputs for use in financial modeling


What You'll Bring 

  • Fully bilingual French & English communication skills
  • Ideally you will possess a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and have an excellent academic and professional record
  • A completed Masters-level or MBA education and CFA or equivalent designation would be an asset
  • 7+ years of industry experience, ideally in Investment banking, Capital Markets and/or Mergers & Acquisitions; relevant experience may include project evaluation, operations, engineering, exploration and corporate development
  • Experience in Investment banking will be considered an asset with a clearly defined interest in Investment Banking


Work Arrangement:
