POSITION OVERVIEW


Do you describe yourself as organized and customer service oriented? Do you have a keen interest in entrepreneurship?

At BDC, the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs, you will support a team of Account Managers in Pointe-Claire and contribute to the success of Canadian businesses. In this role, you provide administrative and operational support to the Financing team, helping ensure a seamless client experience and efficient management of financing activities. You act primarily as a support partner to Account Managers and collaborate with clients when requested by the Account Manager or as part of specific financing processes.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Provide high-quality support to Account Managers in delivering an excellent experience to BDC clients.
  • Respond promptly, accurately, and professionally to client or prospect inquiries referred by Account Managers, while escalating complex situations as appropriate.
  • Prepare letters, financing documents, proposals, contracts, and other required documentation in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Ensure information is accurately entered into internal systems and that all required documentation, conditions, approvals, and signatures are obtained and tracked.
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation and administrative requirements to support financing transactions.
  • Proactively participate in branch marketing initiatives by helping organize events, campaigns, and activities, preparing communications, and providing logistical support when required.
  • Work collaboratively with internal support teams and complete assigned administrative activities through the established workflow and queue management processes.
  • Support Account Managers in achieving business development objectives through effective administrative coordination.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the business centre by welcoming suppliers and technicians and managing outgoing and incoming mail, including visits to the post office when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative support, client service, banking support, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing documentation and maintaining records.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
  • Experience supporting financing, banking, lending, or financial services activities.
  • Experience coordinating administrative processes involving contracts, client documentation, or compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying client needs and supporting resolution of routine inquiries.
