Job description

We're a healthy cookie company running production in Santa Cruz. We make organic, regenerative, plant-based, refined-sugar-free cookies. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Baking Assistant to join our production team.

Schedule:

Saturday 7am–8pm (with a lunch break), and Sunday 7am–1pm.  We offer flexibility on exact hours if you are not able to join us for the entire time! 

What you'll do:

- Assist with dough production in our commercial kitchen

- Package finished cookies

- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols

- Help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly

- Learn and follow our specific processes with care and precision

Growth opportunity:

For the right person, there's potential for additional hours helping with order fulfillment: packaging orders, printing shipping labels, and making occasional trips to the post office.

There may also be opportunity for promotion to bakery manager.

What we're looking for:

- Experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery

- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting considerable weight (up to 40 lbs)

- Flexible, adaptable, and a quick learner. Someone who takes direction well and rolls with change will thrive here
