Arsicault Bakery, a San Francisco original since 2015, known for having one of the best croissants in the Bay Area and beyond according to news outlets such as Bon Appétit, KQED, CNBC, TripAdvisor, NBC Bay Area, SFGate, etc., is growing! Situated conveniently in the heart of San Francisco, we are looking for a Dishwasher to join our dynamic team.


Position Summary


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Baker I to support our bakery and kitchen operations. This role is an entry-level position that is essential to maintaining product consistency, organization, and efficiency across both production and service areas. Working hours are 4-5 days a week from 4:30am to 1pm on-site.


Key Responsibilities:


Production and Dough Preparation

  • Prepare, shape, and bake laminated pastries such as croissants, kouign-amann and palmiers
  • Execute daily dough production including mixing, lamination, proofing and baking
  • Produce items including quiches, galettes, turnovers, monkey bread and scones
  • Prepare fillings and components such as apple compote, pastry cream, and confit onions
  • Maintain consistency and quality in high-volume production


Savory & Sweet Prep

  • Prepare savory ingredients including vegetables and proteins
  • Execute daily and weekly prep tasks such as financier batter and pastry cream
  • Assist with dessert production including sable cookies and puff pastry items
  • Follow recipes and production schedules accurately


Inventory & Organization

  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct daily checks
  • Practice FIFO storage and proper labeling
  • Organize items in walk-in refrigerators and storage areas


Kitchen Operations and Cleanliness

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
  • Follow food safety standards


Production Planning and Coordination

  • Follow production schedules and prep lists
  • Prepare items for next-day production
  • Coordinate with team members for workflow efficiency


Baking and Oven Operations

  • Operate ovens and monitor baking conditions
  • Ensure product consistency and quality
  • Manage baking trays and timing


Team Collaboration
