Job description

The Bakery Business Development Manager is a high-profile, growth-oriented position responsible for expanding KLT Global's bakery business through new account development, new item placements, and broader category penetration within existing accounts. This individual must proactively identify and pursue opportunities while consistently delivering a high level of service and building strong, long-term customer relationships.

The BDM is accountable for achieving annual revenue and gross-profit targets, protecting existing business, and ensuring each account remains profitable. This includes maintaining a disciplined sales pipeline, developing account-specific growth strategies, securing new authorizations, and effectively commercializing new products and programs.

The position is supported by the Director of Bakery, V.P of National Sales, National Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing, and Senior Leadership to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded and new programs are executed successfully.

The successful candidate must be a dynamic and persistent "hunter" with a passion for the bakery category, a strong sense of ownership, and a proven ability to turn opportunities into profitable, sustainable business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and development of new business targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives, must be a hunter.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in accounts.
  • Participates in a joint strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for sustainable growth.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Manage all facets of the day to day account responsibilities
  • Manage the broker network by utilizing budgets and expectations
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 Years Sales experience in a sales role

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suits, Teams and Power Point
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
