Summary of Position
Rumorosa is a brand-new concept fusing the vibrant and bold flavors of Baja, Mexico, with a relaxed, yet playful San Diego vibe, the restaurant has floor to ceiling waterfront views. The Rumorosa Server is responsible for taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. Duties include greeting customers, recommending menu items, ensuring order accuracy, and processing payments. Servers must maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety standards, and collaborate with all food and beverage staff to ensure timely service. Excellent communication, multitasking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for this role.
This position pays $19/hour
Work Hours
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
- Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.
Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities
- Greet the guests and take all food and beverage orders.
- Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients in relation to common dietary restrictions.
- Pre and post-bus tables in assigned stations.
- Maintain a clean dining area at all times.
- Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
- Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
- Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides, and desserts.
- Assist other servers with their tables, as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is in operational order and all supplies are up to par.
- Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
- Follow safety and security procedures.
- Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
- Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
