Job description

Summary:

ABCO Laboratories is a contract manufacture business that works with customers to make and develop a variety of industrial food seasonings.

The bagging machine operator works to ensure bulk packaging orders for 25 – 50 pound bags are properly filled and packaged. As a bagging machine operator, your primary responsibilities revolve around placing products safely and efficiently into appropriate packages. Responsibilities include monitoring the weight of product as it flows into a bag, assuring bags are properly sealed and labeled and transferring finished bags from conveyer onto a pallet. You are required to keep up with production output and must maintain a smooth production line. Your manufacturing duties include handling equipment, working with other packers, and observing proper food safety and quality.

Bagging Machine Operators are expected to be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Baggers often handle strong aromatic seasoning blends in the bagging room for extended periods of time. Basic math skills, good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work in a fast paced environment is required. Forklift experience and working in a food industry environment is preferred.

An ideal employee for this position would be someone who has a positive attitude, shows up to work on time every day; enjoys working within a team, is detail oriented and physically able to perform the daily duties.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday. 6:00am-2:30pm.
