Job description

Number of openings: 2 Fulltime, Temporary

Location: A Line – Olds Station

Working Shift: Day shift

Hours & Work Days: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm Monday – Friday; Hours may vary depending on production.

These positions will require a pre-employment drug test.

Summary

This individual will be primarily working as line worker. Additionally, will be rotating and relieving the primary bagging machine operator as needed.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to write simple correspondence.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.

· Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.

· Intermediate computer skills.

· Must be able to read, speak and write English.

· Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities:

· bagging machine, including cleaning as necessary.

· Must learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.

· Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from machine.

· Displays an excellent ability to communicate.

· Maintains pace with production line.

· Maintains efficient and clean work area.

· Know Stemilt fruit grades.

· Consistently striving to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.

· Must be able to compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.

· Utilize the full spectrum of tools at hand to maximize grower returns.

· Mechanically inclined.

· May encompass other duties than those listed.
