Job description

Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a growing manufacturing operation as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where you will perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of production and grain handling equipment. You will play a key role in keeping equipment running efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting a stable, expanding facility that continues to invest in its machinery and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production and grain equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Work on a variety of equipment, including bagging machines, sewing machines, tapers, stretch wrappers, and grain handling systems.
  • Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting on systems up to 480V, ensuring safe and effective repairs.
  • Support production operations by minimizing equipment downtime and quickly addressing maintenance needs.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and perform proactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with equipment such as bagging machines, sewing machines, tapers, stretch wrappers, and grain handling systems.
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment that involves grain, seeds, and related materials.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support a growing operation with ongoing facility and equipment investments.

Why Work Here?

You will join a stable, expanding manufacturing company that continues to invest in its facilities, equipment, and people. Employees benefit from a competitive 401(k) program with a 6% contribution, accrued paid time off up to two weeks, and a yearly bonus system that rewards performance. The company provides low cost medical insurance and a supportive leader who focuses on training, development, and helping team members grow their skills. With significant growth over recent years and ongoing investment in operations, you will be part of a team-oriented culture that values continuous improvement, professional development, and long-term advancement opportunities.

Work Environment

The facility operates as a clean, well-maintained manufacturing plant that handles grains and seed. Due to the nature of the operation, the environment can be slightly dusty and is not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. You will work in a team of approximately eight technicians in a collaborative, team-oriented setting with long-term growth plans. The role offers 2nd and 3rd shift openings, with the expectation of working one Saturday per month for overtime opportunities.
