Job description

Position Description: Production Operator

Machines:
Kliklok, Patty press, Do Boy, Glue machine, Inkjet, Tape sealers, X-ray, Tray former.
Responsibilities:
Machine set up and break down as needed.
Use correct change parts and set up line conveyors.
Machines and the area must be kept clean, including catch pans and covers.
Report issues of equipment failure to the appropriate department head (i.e., supervisor/maintenance), quickly identify these problems, and find ways to resolve them, so as to minimize downtime and daily goals without compromising the safety and quality of the product.
Ensure that all members of Dr. Praegers team are following company policies and that SAFTY and QUALITY regulations are being enforced to be our #1 priority.
Ensure that GMP requirements by all workers are followed.
Inspect the product to determine that the quality of the product meets QA standards and report any issues to the supervisor /and Manager.
Complete and submit all required production documentation in compliance with GMP and verify the accuracy of all information.
Maintain sanitary machines, equipment, and conveyors.
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation by sweeping, using a squeegee, and ensuring trash cans are emptied; dispose waste in designated bins including bad product, cardboard, and plastic.
Perform equipment cleaning when it becomes contaminated or are excessively dirty; during changeovers or following quality issues or maintenance repairs to maintain production standards.
Ensure the work area remains organized and free of hazards by regularly discarding waste materials and keeping the environment safe and sanitary.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and frequently push, pull, bend, and reach
Skills (required):
Strong communication skills
Ability to read scale and log unit of measure
General mathematical skills required
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to read and write in English, Bilingual (preferred)
Vision: color, depth, and peripheral
Must be able to Operate an (Electric Pallet Jack) Safely and properly.
