Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Parts and Service Manager to oversee our parts department and service operations in Houghton Lake. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient parts inventory management, timely service delivery, and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Parts Department Management
Inventory Oversight: Maintain optimal stock levels of parts for brands such as Kawasaki, Toro, Stihl, and others.
Ordering & Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order parts and manage backorders.
Sales Support: Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their equipment.
Record Keeping: Ensure accurate documentation of parts transactions and inventory movements.
Service Operations
Team Leadership: Supervise and train service technicians to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Scheduling: Manage service appointments to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Quality Control: Review completed service orders for accuracy and completeness.
Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about service status and any additional work required.
Administrative Duties
Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on parts sales, service revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Budget Management: Monitor departmental budgets and implement cost-saving measures.
Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in parts and service management within the powersports or outdoor equipment industry.
Knowledge: Familiarity with brands offered at OECo, including Kawasaki, Toro, Stihl, and others.
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Education: High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
