Global Marketing Operations Director

We're looking for an experienced demand generation focused marketing operations leader who is equally comfortable developing long-term operational strategy as they are rolling up their sleeves to solve day-to-day execution challenges. This is a highly visible role responsible for the systems, processes, reporting, analytics, and operational infrastructure that enable our global marketing organization to execute at scale.

You'll act as both a strategic partner to and an extension of the Demand Generation team, taking ownership of the operational execution behind global demand generation programs. From campaign operations and marketing automation to reporting, analytics, and lead management, you'll work closely with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, SDRs, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive pipeline growth and optimize marketing's contribution to revenue.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. You'll own our marketing technology ecosystem, vendor relationships, campaign operations, lead management processes, reporting infrastructure, marketing budget operations, and data quality while continuously improving how marketing operates across the company.

Reporting to the VP of Revenue Marketing, you'll help build the operational foundation that supports MariaDB's next stage of growth.

Responsibilities: Build and Scale Marketing Operations
  • Own the global marketing operations strategy, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Design scalable operational workflows that improve speed, efficiency, and execution across the marketing organization.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual work, and improve operational excellence.
  • Develop documentation, governance, and best practices for the global marketing organization.
Own the Marketing Technology Stack

Be the owner and administrator for the marketing technology ecosystem, including platforms such as:

  • Strong understanding of lead lifecycle management, campaign operations, attribution, and marketing analytics.

  • Deep understanding of marketing KPIs, pipeline generation, funnel metrics, and revenue attribution.
  • Experience managing marketing technology vendors, agencies, and operational budgets.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple global initiatives simultaneously.

Location: Remote US or North America Compensation:

The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is USD $180,000 - $200,000.

Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies.
