About the Role
We are seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support daily operations for a home care organization serving Medicare and Private Duty clients. In this role, you will ensure clients have consistent caregiver coverage, schedules are accurate, and communication is handled professionally.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone detail-oriented, dependable, and has strong organizational, time management, and technology skills. This individual will have excellent communication, follow-up skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ascend Back Office Solutions supports Access NurseCare and At Home Nurses Care, trusted home care providers serving Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Our teams deliver Medicare Home Health, Private Duty, and Care Management services, helping individuals receive compassionate care in the comfort of their homes.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate caregiver schedules based on client needs, skills, and availability
  • Ensure all client shifts are filled and proactively address staffing gaps
  • Manage call-outs, schedule changes, and last-minute adjustments
  • Confirm schedules daily and monitor time/attendance accuracy
  • Communicate clearly with caregivers and clients, ensuring issues are resolved
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate scheduling records
  • Support caregiver engagement through regular check-ins
  • Assist with reporting, staffing trends, and operational coordination
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of scheduling experience a plus (healthcare/logistics/home care preferred)
  • Administrative Office/Customer Service/ Front desk experience a plus
  • Background as an HHA, CNA, or in-home health care is a plus
  • Experience with Medicare and Private Duty home care is a plus
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with WellSky or similar systems is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
