Job Summary
We are seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team. In this position, main duties consist of assisting providers with patient care, including monitoring vital signs, updating medication lists, and communicating with nurses and doctors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients. Occasionally Front Office task need to be covered by greeting patients in with a warm welcoming smile making them feel at home. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Rooming 20 + patients a day
  • Update patients charts and history including medication lists
  • Uploading CGM and Pump information
  • Answer phone calls, return calls, relay patient results
  • Prep patients charts for upcoming appointments 
  • Vital signs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals 
  • Verifying insurance/collecting copays, balances
  • Checking in/Out
  • Scheduling lunches/coordinating
  • Ordering supplies 
  • To include any Admin tasks assigned
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Medical Assistant certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
