Job description

We are excited about your interest in our district!ย  District 87 is home to one high school, one junior high, six elementary schools, and one early childhood school.ย  We also have the Bloomington Area Career Center which provides career exploration opportunities to high school students at Bloomington High School and surrounding school districts.
Our district is committed to investing in YOU!ย  Because we want our new staff to feel prepared for the start of the year, we will be providing aย paid onboarding experience for all ISBE-certified staff eligible to be covered by the collective bargaining agreement who are new to District 87 this coming August.ย  This training opportunity will allow you to learn about your building, our district and our District 87 community.ย

ISBE-certified Nurse:ย ย 





  • The minimum starting compensation for a full-time position will be $43,496 in accordance with Appendix A of the Board-BEA agreement and may be commensurate with prior applicable experience and education as outlined in Section 15 of the Board-BEA agreement.
  • More detailed information about benefits and costs associated with benefits can be found here.ย  This position will be classified as part of the Teacher employee group and will be covered by the Board-BEA union agreement (see union agreement in bottom right corner).ย 

Non-ISBE certified Nurse (RN, LPN only):ย ย 

  • The minimum starting compensation for this position will be $22.78/hour (LPN) or $28.94/hour (RN) and compensation may be commensurate with up to 10 years of prior applicable full-time experience.
