Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Avionics Technician job in San Antonio, TX.

As an Avionics Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to perform maintenance services and modifications for many major airlines and cargo aircraft assisting a team of highly experienced aviation technicians to return aircraft to service safely.

Aircraft you'll be working on E190, A300, Boeing 787, Boeing 757 – 3 lines, Boeing 747, MD11 – 2 lines, DC10

Position Overview:

Job Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Type: Contractor
Compensation: $25/hr
Per diem: We offer the highest non-taxable per diem in the market (including on overtime)

Tools: Toolbox and tools required
Hours: Overtime is available

Duties:

  • Experience working on LRU removal & installation, Operational and functional test checks, Avionic troubleshooting on aircraft.
  • Avionics work on commercial and military aircraft experience.
  • To install & replace LRU, adjustments, operational and functional test, troubleshooting, and repair avionics systems onboard the aircraft.
  • Analyze equipment failures to determine causes and recommended corrective action.
  • Have experience in modifications and routing and wiring with the use of the special tool (Crimping tools).
  • Must be able to fabricate and install any wiring harness assemblies.
  • Should use and operate any Ground Support Equipment (GSE), avionics equipment, VOR & TCAS Equipment tester, pitot & static equipment tester.
  • Must apply technical knowledge to repair aircraft discrepancies efficiently while properly documenting all work performed.
  • Must comply with all safety procedures and specifications.
  • Be able to read wiring diagram and schematic manuals, or any other maintenance manual as (AMM, IPC, SSM, WDM and FIM).
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (preferred).
  • FCC (Preferred).
  • At least 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing, Airbus, MD-11.)
  • A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
