Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Directs (Parts/purchasing) warehousing activities for organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties: These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position.

Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping parts receiving inventory current.

Inspects physical condition of parts receiving and equipment.

Maintain parts inventory

Prepares requisitions for replacement of equipment and spare parts.

Directs salvage of damaged or used material.

Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.

Enter and close all work orders in the CMMS program (COGZ)

Receive all incoming items into the SAP system

Responsible to understand his/her role in the Food Safety Management System by awareness of the importance and relevancy of his/her activities.

Must report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Directly responsible for food safety in his/her area by ensuring the equipment and facilities are maintained and that the personnel under his/her supervision adheres and follows all food safety policies.

Supervise physical parts inventory once per year

Direct clerk helper and parts driver in daily duties (detailed in their job descriptions)

Coordination of vending spare parts vending machines, (including but not limited too) assigning badges to users, doing consumption reports by user and department, directly working with vendor representative to our facility.

Required Skills/Education:

Prefer Associate's degree (A. A.) technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish.
