Responsibilities

  • Validate and improve disaster recovery procedures, including backup and restore processes, and create tested runbooks for seamless operations.
  • Harden the DMZ/perimeter posture, ensuring no unnecessary inbound exposures and a secure relay pattern.
  • Patch, upgrade, or re-platform components as needed to reach a supported, stable baseline, and explore containerized deployment options.
  • Establish proactive monitoring and alerting for transfer flows, with a focus on failed transfers and anomaly detection.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
  • Lead structured knowledge transfer and shadowing sessions with the internal team to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support.

  • Strong experience in designing high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience for enterprise MFT platforms is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the underlying platform layer, including Linux administration, networking, DMZ patterns, and database management, is necessary.
  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to transfer knowledge effectively to internal staff are vital.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a regulated, high-availability environment is an asset.
