This position is located in Austin, TX or Bellevue WA.
AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Contract Logistics Procurement Mgr with a hunger for driving change and impact at a global scale to join AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS) team. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You are analytical and creative, and you don't quit until you solve the problem

Key job responsibilities
Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services.
Establish annual financial plans and create operating rhythms to measure execution vs established targets.
Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate business processes to ensure compliance with agreed terms and reduce procurement lead times.
Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners which encourage continued customer focus deliver reduced service costs.
Manage supplier relationships including contractual negotiations, service performance, capability development.
Dive deep to uncover areas of opportunity, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects which deliver reduced service costs.
A day in the life
Recommend, develop, and implement policies that guide the organization in accurately estimating service cost and delivering annual profit and loss (P&L).
Develop new business relationships and competencies.
Partner with supply and operations teams to develop capacity models, guide network strategy, and inform capital investment decisions.
Own Controllership activities including invoice auditing to identify discrepancies.
Partner with business partners to draft, maintain, and standardize contractual requirements.
Design exception-based reporting highlighting and analyzing outliers.
Lead weekly discussions reporting on financial performance to plan and areas of improvement.
Manage and support finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies.
