Job description

Description

AWS Facility Maintenance Technician IIDenver, Colorado

Pay: $19.29-$23.44 per hour (Depending on experience and skill set)
Schedule: Saturday - Tuesday | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Full-Time |AWS - Either 3-12-hour shifts OR 4-10-hour shifts

Looking for a Schedule That Gives You Three Days Off Every Week?

If you enjoy maintenance work, like staying busy, and take pride in being someone your team can count on, we'd love to meet you.

This position supports facility maintenance during scheduled production shutdowns. While the plant isn't running, you'll focus on preventive maintenance, facility repairs, improvement projects, and helping prepare the site for a successful production week.

Weekend availability is required. This is a permanent schedule, and you have to be dependable; reliability is essential. Your team depends on you to complete work that can only be performed during production downtime.

If 4 - TEN-HOUR SHIFTS (SAT, SUN, MON, TUE)

IF 3 - TWELVE-HOUR SHIFTS ( FRI, SAT, SUN) OR (SAT, SUN, MON)

A Day in the Life

Every weekend is a little different, but your day may include:

  • Completing scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on facility equipment
  • Performing repairs before production starts back up
  • Assisting with facility improvement projects
  • Building wooden boxes and shipping crates for operations
  • Performing general building maintenance including basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues found during inspections
  • Recording completed work in the CMMS system
  • Working safely while keeping your work area clean and organized
  • Helping teammates complete larger maintenance projects

Unlike a production shift where you're constantly responding to breakdowns, your weekends are focused on planning ahead, improving equipment reliability, and completing projects that keep the facility operating efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
  • Complete assigned maintenance projects during scheduled shutdowns
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical equipment
  • Build and repair shipping boxes and wooden crates
  • Perform general facility repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC work
  • Update maintenance records in the CMMS system
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist other maintenance technicians as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Reliability Matters

This position supports critical weekend maintenance work that keeps production running during the week.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Committed to working every weekend as part of the regular schedule
  • Someone teammates can rely on to show up ready to work
  • Self-motivated and able to complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Safety-focused with a positive attitude

If you're looking for a Monday-Friday schedule, this probably isn't the right fit. But if you enjoy having 3-4 days off a week, this schedule offers an excellent work-life balance.

Preferred Skills

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Preventive Maintenance (PMs)
  • Mechanical repairs
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting
  • HVAC systems
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Welding
  • CMMS maintenance software
  • Box or crate building
  • Forklift experience
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the shift
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Work around loud equipment while wearing required PPE
Benefits That Support Your Future

At MMS, we believe great employees deserve great benefits.

Our benefits include:

  • 80 Hours of Paid Vacation
  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Company-Provided Uniforms
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Employee Discounts
  • Tuition Reimbursement (up to $3,000 annually)
  • 401(k) & Roth IRA Options
  • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) after 6 months - because when the company succeeds, you share in that success.
